The opportunity
We are seeking a Credit Risk Analyst II to join our best-in-class risk team. In this role, you will take ownership of credit limit decisions for small business applications that fall outside of our automated thresholds. You will serve as a key decision-maker, utilizing your expertise to evaluate fraud risk and creditworthiness while adhering to our established policies. This is a senior-level position where you will not only exercise your own credit approval authority but also act as a mentor to junior team members and occasionally step into leadership responsibilities when necessary.
A day in the life
- Review and adjudicate complex credit applications for small businesses across multiple countries, ensuring all decisions are well-documented and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with internal partners and external clients to gather necessary information, mitigate fraud indicators, and promote effective collection strategies.
- Contribute to the broader team by helping develop new program policies, participating in ad-hoc projects, and providing guidance to less experienced analysts.
Who you are
You are an analytical thinker with a deep understanding of commercial credit philosophy. You possess the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in small business credit application adjudication, specifically within grey area or manual review environments.
- Advanced knowledge of finance and accounting, supported by relevant college coursework or bank-sponsored training.
- Demonstrated experience managing individual credit authority of at least $50,000.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate objective, data-driven views.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a hybrid team structure.
- Preferred experience includes international commercial fraud assessment and background in the credit card or indirect lending industries.
Why you'll love it here
We are committed to the well-being and professional growth of our employees. When you join our team, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your life both inside and outside of the office, including:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
- Life, disability, and employee assistance programs.
- A 401k retirement plan to help you plan for the future.
- Generous paid time off and flexible hybrid work arrangements.
