We are currently seeking an experienced Country Manager to join our team on a contractor basis in Indonesia. Our client is a prominent organization specializing in smart energy, energy efficiency, and renewable energy solutions. In this role, you will act as a strategic leader and hands-on executor, responsible for establishing, scaling, and guiding our commercial and operational presence within the Indonesian market. You will play a vital role in expanding our clean energy and storage business while navigating local partnerships and regulatory landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a long-term country strategy that aligns with our corporate goals, while representing the company in key government and industry forums.
- Drive the entire sales cycle for our renewable energy and storage products, managing high-value client relationships and leading your team to meet regional revenue and profit targets.
- Oversee market expansion by managing distribution networks, conducting in-depth policy research, and ensuring full compliance with local tax, legal, and employment regulations.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, or Economics, with an MBA considered a strong asset.
- More than 10 years of executive experience in sales, commercial management, or general operations within the renewable energy or energy storage sectors.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with solar energy and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and successfully launch or scale business operations.
- A deep understanding of the Indonesian market, combined with strong communication skills and financial acumen.
- Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia is required, while proficiency in Mandarin is considered a plus.
