About the Role

We are seeking a Costing Engineer to join our Asia Production Team on a full time basis. This is a vital mid-level role based in Ninh Binh, Vietnam, where you will report directly to the Director of Manufacturing. You will lead our local costing team to manage global footwear costing, drive cost-saving initiatives to maximize margins, and establish standardized, fact-based costing procedures while collaborating with cross-functional partners to strengthen our business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with US-based costing and finance teams to facilitate decision-making throughout the product creation process, ensuring new products align with our profitability expectations.
• Collaborate with Asia-based product development, planning, and manufacturing teams to manage cost drivers within the Bill of Labor and Bill of Materials, conducting detailed reviews of manufacturing processes to optimize product costs.
• Manage all costing functions within our PLM system, ensuring data accuracy and maintaining up-to-date records to support transparent supply chain operations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a blend of analytical rigor and strong interpersonal skills. We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Two to five years of experience working with a premium footwear brand.
• Technical expertise in product construction and manufacturing methods, paired with a commercial and analytical mindset.
• Proficiency in Excel and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including internal teams and external vendors.
• Strong price negotiation skills and a commitment to impeccable integrity.
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, business, or an equivalent level of industry experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• A passion for sustainability and a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving.
