We are looking for an analytical Senior Cost Engineer to join our Sustaining and Production Engineering department in the Netherlands. In this full-time, on-site role, you will play a vital part in estimating and controlling project costs while collaborating across teams to drive financial efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate cost models and deep knowledge of cost drivers.
- Execute detailed cost calculations for customer requests using modeling and historical data.
- Benchmark internal costs against external supplier data and industry standards.
- Support value engineering strategies throughout the request for quotation process.
- Monitor project financial status by reporting on variances and advising on corrective measures.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities to develop optimization strategies.
- Work closely with project managers, designers, and procurement teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.
Must-haves
- A completed degree in engineering, business administration, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in cost engineering.
- Strong analytical skills with a practical understanding of production processes and materials.
- Proficiency with ERP systems, 3D CAD software, and project management tools.
- Excellent command of both English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
