We are currently looking for a Cost Engineer Estimator to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis here in the United States. At BHS, we specialize in creating industrial-mechanical recycling equipment and turnkey recycling facilities. You will play a vital role in our organization by working closely with our Product-Sales and Engineering groups to build accurate technical cost estimates for our diverse range of recycling solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed cost estimates based on bills of materials, technical drawings, or initial concepts to ensure our project scopes remain consistent and accurate.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships across our Sales, Engineering, and Project Management departments to streamline communication.
  • Analyze actual project costs against initial estimates to identify areas for improvement and refine our overall estimation processes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a blend of technical expertise and strong communication skills. We value candidates who bring the following qualifications to our team:

  • Between 3 and 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, as well as experience with cost-estimating software.
  • A working knowledge of manufacturing or construction processes.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Inventor, is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly validate your assumptions to various stakeholders throughout the company.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
