The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented individual to join our Information Technology group as a Systems Administrator on the Corporate IT team based in Toronto. Reporting to the Director, Corporate IT, this role will primarily support our HR platform, responsible for analysis, day-to-day support and configuration of the platform for various projects and enhancements. As a secondary responsibility, this role will support other systems across Corporate IT, including finance and compliance applications. The successful candidate will be highly skilled in HR processes and systems, with broader capabilities across other IT functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- System administrator for the HR platform and other integrated HR and payroll systems, ensuring optimal performance and user support
- Manage all aspects of HR system workflows, user permissions, system configurations, generation of reports and dashboards and other routine tasks
- Oversee integrations and ensure seamless connectivity between HRIS and up and downstream systems
- Analyze user needs, identify defects and redundancies, and be responsible for improving operational processes
- Research changes in upcoming releases and other integrated applications; provide recommendations when necessary to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Establish and implement best practices with regards to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc.
- Create and maintain product documentation, contributing technical expertise to business projects and create solutions to meet challenges (including performing detailed analysis of technical and business requirements).
- Perform periodic audit to ensure integrity of data
- Point of contact for third party relationships related to HR systems
ADDITIONAL Responsibilities:
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for other IT systems
- Perform Business analysis duties across various Corporate IT systems covering finance and compliance, improving business processes and system efficiency
- Design, develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI
- Manage API connections and ensure seamless connectivity across platforms
Candidate Profile:
- Extensive experience working with HR platforms and a deep understanding of HR processes – performance management, compensation management, payroll, PTO tracking, D&I reporting
- Familiarity with Corporate IT systems related to finance and compliance
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion and simplify complex situations
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills who will fit seamlessly into our team culture
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies.
- Ability to work independently, learn quickly and think creatively
- Proficiency in SQL, VB.net and Power BI with an understanding of ERP system components is nice to have
