Role at a glance

We are seeking a Senior Core Protocol Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. This is a 100% remote position, though we require candidates to be based in North or South American time zones. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our layer 0 technology and building the future of open-source distributed systems using functional Scala.

Your impact

• Design and implement core protocol features that drive the evolution of the Constellation Network.
• Optimize our network for peak performance, scalability, and security to handle high-throughput workloads.
• Collaborate with our cross-functional team to integrate new protocols and build robust developer APIs.

What you'll need

We are looking for someone who thrives on technical complexity and has a deep passion for decentralized systems. You should be fluent in English and possess the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience working with Scala or Java.
• A strong grasp of distributed systems, consensus algorithms, and blockchain architecture.
• A solid foundation in cryptographic principles and security best practices.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS and Terraform.
• Proficiency in Git, agile methodologies, and rigorous testing practices.
• A degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
