Are you ready to help us build the backbone of the next generation of decentralized infrastructure? At Constellation Network, we are pushing the boundaries of what is possible with distributed ledger technology. We are a decentralized network that empowers developers to create highly scalable, application-specific blockchains. Beyond our public network, we have been a trusted partner of the US Department of Defense since 2019, building secure, military-grade cross-chain messaging for the US Air Force. We are looking for passionate engineers to join our international, fully remote team and help us solve the most challenging problems in the Web3 space.
Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Core Protocol Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. This is a 100% remote position, though we require candidates to be based in North or South American time zones. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our layer 0 technology and building the future of open-source distributed systems using functional Scala.
Your impact
- Design and implement core protocol features that drive the evolution of the Constellation Network.
- Optimize our network for peak performance, scalability, and security to handle high-throughput workloads.
- Collaborate with our cross-functional team to integrate new protocols and build robust developer APIs.
What you'll need
We are looking for someone who thrives on technical complexity and has a deep passion for decentralized systems. You should be fluent in English and possess the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of professional experience working with Scala or Java.
- A strong grasp of distributed systems, consensus algorithms, and blockchain architecture.
- A solid foundation in cryptographic principles and security best practices.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS and Terraform.
- Proficiency in Git, agile methodologies, and rigorous testing practices.
- A degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
Perks and compensation
We value our team members and offer a package designed to support your long-term growth and well-being.
- Equity and token grants to ensure you share in our success.
- A flexible, take-what-you-need paid time off policy.
- The freedom and autonomy of working in a 100% remote, international environment.
