The role
We are looking for a Senior Controls Engineer to join our operations team on a full-time basis. This is an on-site position where you will play a vital role in overseeing the control systems that power our manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with maintenance, mechanical engineering, and IT teams to ensure our equipment operates at peak performance, working on everything from small-scale improvements to large-scale system architectures.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust control systems while implementing industry best practices.
- Design and support automated manufacturing equipment using PLC or PC-based control systems.
- Create comprehensive test procedures and lead acceptance testing to ensure all systems meet our high standards for safety and performance.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in automation and a passion for solving complex technical problems. We require the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Control Systems, or Computer Engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience with PLC and HMI programming across multiple hardware platforms.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience maintaining and programming SCADA systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical control systems, along with a solid understanding of network topologies.
- Experience creating electrical schematics and as-built CAD documentation.
- Knowledge of the NFPA79 Industrial Machinery Electrical Safety Standard and safety system design.
- The ability to obtain BATF approval for explosive operations and proof of U.S. Person status to comply with export control regulations.
