The role
We are seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a pivotal role within our Controls Engineering Department, where you will be responsible for guiding the installation, commissioning, and ongoing operation of our next-generation lithium silicon anode material production facilities. We are looking for an experienced professional who is ready to take on the technical challenges of scaling world-class manufacturing infrastructure.
Core responsibilities
- Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of control systems for our state-of-the-art production facilities, including our new site in Moses Lake, Washington.
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance to operations teams while assisting with the configuration of OT networks and the site Data Historian.
- Troubleshoot and debug PLC and DCS logic to ensure optimal performance and contribute to the development of manufacturing best practices and facility-wide safety standards.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Computer Science engineering, or equivalent trade certification and experience.
- At least 4 years of direct experience in process controls, industrial engineering, or automated manufacturing.
- Proficiency with DCS programming, such as Emerson DeltaV, and PLC programming, such as Siemens.
- Experience with OT networking, MES, and ancillary systems like Historians.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across production, management, and contractor teams.
- A proactive mindset with a desire to tackle complex projects and maintain high standards for documentation and engineering practices.
Compensation and benefits
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 USD, depending on your specific experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base pay, this role includes a bonus plan and company stock options. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
