We are currently building the tools that empower our content creators to develop the materials that drive learning outcomes in schools everywhere. We believe that by simplifying the creation process, we can make a meaningful impact on education, and we are looking for a talented designer to help us refine these essential experiences.
The role
We are looking for a Mid-Level Product Designer to join us as a Contractor. This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Latin America who are fluent in English. You will play a vital role in shaping how our internal teams build the content that reaches millions of learners.
Core responsibilities
- Take ownership of the design experience for our internal products, ensuring they are intuitive and effective for our content creators.
- Translate complex user and business challenges into creative, thoughtful design solutions that prioritize accessibility and usability.
- Manage and evolve our design system to maintain consistency across our platforms while collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, and UX Research teams.
Skills and experience
- You bring at least 3 years of experience in product design, with a proven ability to solve complex problems.
- You are highly proficient in Figma and understand how to apply web and mobile-web technologies to your designs.
- You have a deep understanding of accessibility standards and know how to incorporate them into your documentation.
- You are comfortable working in a cross-functional environment, where you can easily translate user research and data into actionable design decisions.
- Experience with motion design or animation using Adobe After Effects is considered a significant plus.
Compensation and benefits
This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute to our mission from your home base in Latin America. Please note that as this is a contract role, it is not eligible for company-sponsored benefits.
