We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Quality Engineer to join our team in a full-time, on-site capacity. At CaptiveAire, we have spent over 40 years establishing ourselves as the nation’s top manufacturer of commercial kitchen ventilation systems. We provide comprehensive solutions including HVAC equipment, fans, heaters, and ductwork. With six manufacturing plants across the United States and a network of more than 90 sales offices, we pride ourselves on our rapid lead times, innovative technology, and commitment to service. In this role, you will work directly within our manufacturing facility to drive organization and enhance our overall production efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by focusing on Kaizen principles to implement small, positive changes throughout the facility.
- Collaborate with plant leadership and our corporate continuous improvement team to identify, communicate, and execute projects that reduce waste and maximize productivity.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of 5S methodologies while coaching colleagues on lean manufacturing practices.
Requirements
- A four-year technical degree in industrial or mechanical engineering.
- Two to four years of professional experience working within a manufacturing environment, specifically with a focus on quality.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication skills and a meticulous approach to problem-solving.
- A strong desire to maintain a safe work environment and deliver perfect product quality to our customers.
