Our curation team acts as the tour guides of this digital landscape, helping new users find their place while supporting the growth of smaller, emerging communities. We are looking for someone to join this mission and help us deepen our understanding of content across India and the surrounding regions.
The opportunity
As a Senior Content Strategist, you will play a vital role in mapping the Reddit experience for users in India and the broader APAC region. You will work closely with our India Content Lead to categorize and contextualize subreddits and posts, ensuring our platform reflects the nuances of local culture, trends, and themes. By labeling content and refining our data, you will directly influence our machine learning recommendations, making the platform more intuitive and engaging for everyone. Please note that this is a contractor position that requires working on Saturdays and Sundays, with the flexibility to choose two weekdays off.
A day in the life
- You will collaborate with our leadership to execute a targeted content strategy that improves how we understand diverse communities and audiences across India.
- You will perform detailed content labeling and quality assurance on machine learning outputs, creating robust datasets that help our systems learn and improve.
- You will identify recurring patterns within the data you review and document your insights to help us better serve our global user base.
Who you are
You are someone with a deep passion for internet culture and a strong grasp of the diverse social landscape in India, including its sports, cinema, business, and current events. You are comfortable reviewing and assessing digital content with high accuracy, and you possess native language proficiency in English and at least one regional language such as Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, or Kannada. You are a frequent Reddit user who understands how communities thrive, and you are excited about the prospect of using your cultural knowledge to train better technology. Previous experience in content creation, social media management, or community moderation is a significant plus.
