The team

At the heart of OpenUp, you’ll find the Content & Learning team: the creative minds behind all self-guided content, masterclasses, and group sessions. We create learning experiences that are engaging, impactful, and tailored to the needs of our core target audiences and markets. And now, we’re looking for a new Dutch-speaking Content Specialist to own this for the Netherlands (and beyond)!

The Role

As a startup, we offer the opportunity to work on a wide variety of tasks and projects, ranging from QA-ing Dutch AI-generated localisations to taking creative ownership of strategic initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on content work (writing, editing, QA) and operational responsibilities (managing cross-functional projects and stakeholders) and creative, strategic work. 

As our Dutch Content Specialist, your focus will be on bringing our Dutch content to life. This includes:

• Monthly content calendar brainstorms with the wider content team (including other market specialists, and our Courses and Spaces leads);
• Taking ownership of multiple content projects, including, but not limited to, newsletters, articles, and courses;
• Researching and creating content from scratch, working closely with internal experts like psychologists and lifestyle specialists;
• Creating and scheduling email campaigns in our tool Activecampaign, creating landing pages in Wordpress;
• Creating content for other teams such as marketing, customer success, the website team, and more;
• Creating primarily in English (as we’re an international company), while ensuring high-quality Dutch localisation across all materials;
• Co-ordinate and manage our Dutch working student who can assist you with your work
• Acting as the guardian of our Dutch tone of voice and content quality.

About You

You’re a detail-oriented communicator with a passion for content and (mental) well-being. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, international team and have a strong sense of what makes content effective and engaging. Here’s what we’re looking for:

• You’re a native Dutch speaker and fluent in English. Additional languages (like French) are a nice-to-have, but definitely not a must (we can dream 😉).
• You’re comfortable (and even excited) about the use of AI in your daily work, and the potential it brings. You know its strengths and how to get around its limitations.
• You have strong prompt-engineering, writing, and editing skills, with a knack for creating clear and engaging messaging.
• You're comfortable with CMS systems like Wordpress. Experience with marketing e-mail automation tools such as Activecampaign (what we use), Mailchimp etc. is a (big) plus.
• You’ve got a sharp eye for detail: spotting inconsistencies, catching formatting issues, and ensuring every piece of content follows our brand’s tone of voice and guidelines.
• You’re able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders without losing focus.
• You’re happy to roll up your sleeves and take on operational and executional tasks (which make up around 80% of the role), but there’s also plenty of room for creative and strategic input.
