Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Consumer Product Compliance Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. This is a vital position for someone with extensive experience in regulatory standards who wants to ensure that our products continue to meet the highest safety and environmental benchmarks in the industry.
Your impact
- You will ensure that all new and modified products strictly adhere to material regulations and essential certification standards.
- You will research and implement sustainability programs, including managing compliance for RoHS, REACH, PFAS, Prop 65, and TSCA.
- You will build and maintain a robust system for generating material declarations and compliance certificates on demand, while actively participating in design reviews and hazard assessments.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong technical background and a deep understanding of global compliance landscapes. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or at least five years of equivalent professional experience.
- At least five years of dedicated experience in product safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to manage product lifecycle systems, write Declarations of Conformity, and work effectively with international organizations like UL, CSA, and IEC.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex BOMs and part numbers within a database.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical requirements to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Fluency in English.
