Saronic Technologies is at the forefront of maritime defense, building autonomous surface vessels that transform how the Department of Defense operates at sea. We are looking for a Senior Configuration Manager to join our team on-site in the United States to ensure our engineering designs and complex systems meet the highest standards of precision and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of engineering change notices, ensuring all implementation checklists are completed and Bills of Materials are accurate.
- Create and utilize automation tools to increase the efficiency and accuracy of our configuration management workflows.
- Oversee the documentation, routing, and approval process for all engineering change requests, including performing detailed impact analyses.
- Maintain engineering routings and cost data while conducting regular audits of as-built records within our PLM systems.
- Collaborate across departments, including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies for proposed changes.
- Lead configuration management reviews and audits, such as FCA/PCA, to ensure process integrity.
- Provide expert guidance to engineering teams regarding the configuration of complex Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service Bills of Materials.
- Develop training programs to ensure all team members understand and comply with our change management tools and procedures.
Must-haves
- At least 3 years of direct experience in product configuration management, preferably within the defense, aerospace, or naval sectors.
- Deep understanding of configuration management principles and product lifecycle management (PLM) toolsets.
- Strong technical proficiency in data management, including the use of SQL, Python, and APIs.
- Working knowledge of CAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- A degree in an engineering discipline, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Nuclear, or Manufacturing.
- Experience working with specific PLM tools like Arena or Teamcenter.
- Professional certification in CM2 or an equivalent configuration management standard.
