Conda Packaging and Infrastructure Engineer at Quansight

We are looking for a Senior Conda Packaging and Infrastructure Engineer to join our fully remote team. What you'll be doing

• You will serve as an active contributor to the conda and conda-forge communities, focusing on improving and maintaining these vital open-source ecosystems.
• You will design and implement new features and performance enhancements for packaging tools, while also maintaining existing documentation for the projects you support.
• You will collaborate with a diverse range of clients from industry and academia, providing technical expertise and participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality engineering standards.

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in software engineering and a passion for open-source development. We are looking for the following skills and experience:

• Fluency in Git and GitHub, with a proven track record of contributing to open-source projects.
• Proficiency with build tools and compilers such as GCC, Clang, MSVC, CMake, and Meson.
• Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and deployment workflows, such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• The ability to work effectively in a distributed, asynchronous environment.
• Strong communication skills in English, which will help you interact with our global team and community members.
