We are CarbonBuilt, and we are on a mission to tackle climate change by decarbonizing the concrete industry. Our award-winning technology replaces traditional cement with industrial byproducts and CO2, offering a cost-effective solution that is already being used to produce hundreds of tons of concrete daily in Alabama. We are currently looking for a Concrete Technician to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. If you are passionate about making a global impact through sustainable innovation, we would love to have you join us as we scale our operations across the United States and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside our internal team and third-party partners to conduct comprehensive testing on materials, processes, and our final products.
- Analyze testing data in collaboration with other team members to determine how we can improve our product quality, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Provide essential support to our technology department as we develop and refine new products and manufacturing processes.
Requirements
- You should have 1 to 3 years of experience working within a construction materials laboratory or a similar technical environment.
- We require proficiency with ASTM testing standards and hands-on experience working with various supplementary cementitious materials.
- You must be comfortable using computers for data analysis and possess strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are vital, as is a commitment to following all safety procedures.
- An ACI Concrete Laboratory Certification Level 2 is preferred for this role.
- This position involves physical requirements, including the ability to move items weighing up to 80 pounds and the agility to navigate ladders, steps, and tight workspaces.
- You must be willing to travel for field support approximately 10% of the time.
What we offer
We offer the opportunity to work at the forefront of sustainable construction technology. You will be part of a team dedicated to solving one of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time, working in an environment that values innovation, precision, and collaborative growth.
