At Motive, we develop technology that helps organizations running physical operations manage their drivers, vehicles, equipment, and fleet spend within a single platform. Our AI-driven system delivers visibility and control across safety, operations, and finance, serving more than 120,000 customers ranging from Fortune 500 enterprises to small businesses in industries such as transportation, logistics, construction, energy, field service, manufacturing, agriculture, food and beverage, retail, and the public sector.
We are expanding our engineering organization and are looking for a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to join our remote team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will contribute to systems that analyze driving behavior, detect risk factors, and generate coachable events that improve fleet safety and reduce costs while supporting safer roads for everyone.

- Design and optimize computer vision and machine learning algorithms to achieve real-time performance on embedded platforms, including next-generation AI dashcams.
- Develop and maintain Python and C++ code for computer vision algorithms, machine learning services, training pipelines, model compression, and porting workflows.
- Translate advanced research prototypes into stable, production-ready product features.
- Partner with research and development teams in computer vision, machine learning, and robotics, as well as colleagues in machine learning platform, embedded systems, backend, and frontend engineering to deliver complete product capabilities.
- Address complex challenges in object detection, segmentation, recognition, and geometric computer vision.
- Establish automated pipelines for deployment, validation, and active learning.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years of experience developing algorithms in computer vision, deep learning, or machine learning, or a master’s degree in one of these fields combined with at least two years of relevant experience; recent PhD graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong mathematical grounding in computer vision, deep learning, machine learning, and optimization techniques.
- Practical experience training models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Caffe.
- Proficiency in Python or C++ for building and improving algorithms and services.
- Hands-on experience developing algorithms and applications for embedded systems.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Familiarity with AWS services such as SageMaker, Lambda, EC2, and S3, along with CI/CD practices, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with the Eigen library or real-time operating systems.
Compensation
We offer the benefit of remote work for this position.
