At BlaBlaCar, we are on a mission to connect the world through travel. As the leading community-based travel app, we help 27 million members every year find affordable carpooling and bus options across 21 countries. Our team is a vibrant tapestry of 800 employees representing over 50 nationalities, working together from five global offices to make travel more accessible and sustainable. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our HR team and help us shape the future of how we reward and support our people.
The opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Compensation & Benefits Specialist to take ownership of our global programs. You will report directly to the Head of Talent, Culture, and Performance, playing a vital role in ensuring our rewards strategy remains competitive and fair. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in an international environment and enjoys working closely with local HR teams to navigate the complexities of compensation, equity, and benefits across diverse regions like Brazil, Poland, and Ukraine.
A day in the life
- You will manage our global compensation cycle, including the end-of-year review process, by coordinating budgets and utilizing Workday to ensure seamless execution.
- You will act as a data expert, performing market benchmarking through tools like Aon Radford and maintaining our salary grids to ensure our pay structures are both equitable and market-aligned.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional HR partners to design and refine our variable pay, benefits, and leave policies while ensuring full compliance with local regulations and collective agreements.
Who you are
You are a seasoned professional with at least 4 years of hands-on experience in compensation and benefits, ideally within an international tech scale-up. You possess a sharp analytical mind and are comfortable managing large, complex data sets in Excel. Because you will be working in a fast-paced, global setting, you are naturally organized, autonomous, and capable of prioritizing tasks effectively. You communicate clearly and enjoy sharing your expertise with others. Full working proficiency in English is required for this role, and prior experience using Workday is considered a significant advantage.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in supporting your well-being and professional growth both inside and outside the office. This is a hybrid role based in France, requiring two days per week in the office. Our benefits package includes:
- Equity compensation through our employee stock ownership plan.
- Comprehensive medical insurance with 50% coverage.
- Generous leave policies, including 4 weeks of additional maternity or paternity leave on top of legal requirements and at least 25 days of paid time off.
- Financial support for your home office setup and a local meal plan via a Swile card.
- Commuter benefits, including 50% transportation coverage.
- Opportunities for personal development through mentorship, training, and internal mobility.
- Fun perks like free unlimited carpooling and bus rides, regular company retreats, and an extra day off each year to test our product.
