Back in 2017, two computer science students at Stanford had a simple idea. They wanted to build games that were genuinely fun to play, and they started by adding portal mechanics to a first-person shooter in their dorm room. That project grew into 1047 Games, the studio behind the hit title Splitgate. Today, we are a venture-backed company with over $120 million in funding, and we are hard at work on an exciting new shooter set in the same universe. Our team is fully remote, bringing together talented people from across the globe who share a love for grit, ingenuity, and a startup mentality.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Community Team Lead to guide our efforts in connecting with our players. This is a vital role for us, as you will be the bridge between our development team and the passionate fans who play our games. You will help shape the voice of our studio, lead a growing team, and ensure that our community feels heard, valued, and excited about what we are building next.
A day in the life
- You will lead and mentor a dedicated team, encouraging them to push boundaries and deliver exceptional experiences for our players.
- You will design and execute comprehensive community strategies that align perfectly with our broader marketing goals and game updates.
- You will act as the voice of the community, gathering feedback and insights to share with our developers so we can continue to improve our games.
Who you are
You are a seasoned professional who understands the unique rhythm of the gaming industry. You have at least 5 years of experience in community management, with at least 2 of those years spent specifically in the video game world. You have successfully managed teams of 3 or more people and know how to launch initiatives that truly resonate with players. You are a data-driven thinker who is comfortable tracking metrics and using that information to refine your approach. You communicate clearly in English, and you are always looking for the next trend in social media and community platforms. If you have experience growing communities of over 100,000 players, understand SEO, or have spent time playing Splitgate, we would love to hear from you.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in hiring the best talent regardless of where they are located. As part of our commitment to a flexible and modern work environment, this position is permanently remote. You will have the chance to work with a world-class team on high-impact projects that reach millions of players.
