At Polymer Labs, we are dedicated to building a neutral, open, and permissionless base layer for the new internet. We serve as Ethereum’s Interoperability Hub, developing essential infrastructure that enhances security and functionality to support the mass adoption of the decentralized web. Our team brings together top talent from both web2 and web3 to solve the complex challenges of interoperability. As we transition from our core tech development phase toward our mainnet launch, we are looking for a passionate individual to help us foster and grow our community of supporters.
The role
We are seeking a Senior Community Lead to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a pivotal role for our organization, as you will be our first dedicated hire focused entirely on community engagement. You will play a critical part in shaping how we interact with our users and supporters as we prepare for major upcoming product launches.
Core responsibilities
- Serve as the primary bridge between our core team and the community, fostering a positive environment through creative engagement and fun initiatives.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for community growth, including the creation of contribution programs and recognition processes.
- Lead the organization of online events, such as Twitter Spaces, AMAs, community calls, and various contests to keep our audience active and informed.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should be a crypto-native professional who is deeply immersed in web3 culture and familiar with its narratives and projects. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Proven experience building and managing communities for web3 or crypto projects with a focus on clear KPIs.
- Extensive expertise using Discord and Twitter to drive engagement.
- Strong ability to manage stakeholders and establish clear guidelines.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- A deep curiosity about our architecture and an alignment with our core values of perseverance, ownership, and legacy.
- Bonus points if you have strong existing relationships within the web3 space or possess a talent for creating tasteful memes.
Compensation and benefits
We offer a comprehensive package designed to support our team members, including:
- Competitive salary, token grants, and incentive compensation.
- Medical, dental, and vision group insurance plans.
- Untracked, manager-approved paid time off.
- Regular offsite gatherings and team-building activities to foster connection in our remote-first environment.
- The opportunity to make a lasting impact on the fundamental infrastructure of the decentralized web.
How to apply
If you are excited about our mission to connect the world through IBC and want to help us build the future of web3, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to us with your background and your vision for how you can help nurture and grow the Polymer community.
