Array Labs is on a mission to create the first accurate, real-time 3D model of our world by building a distributed radar imaging constellation. We are looking for a Communications Systems Engineer to join our hardware team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. In this role, you will help design the first orbital MIMO radar imaging system, working alongside our silicon, antenna, and software teams to take hardware from initial concept to full deployment in space.
Responsibilities
- Perform system-level and link-level design to support our innovative satellite communication and radar imaging technology.
- Collaborate with our ASIC, FPGA, RF, and software engineering teams to design, validate, and test complex silicon-based systems.
- Build simulations and develop fixed-point and floating-point models to analyze and verify system performance.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should have a strong background in engineering and a passion for space technology. We require the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, computer engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in digital signal processing and system-level modeling.
- Excellent communication skills, high self-motivation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, or Python.
- Familiarity with laboratory test equipment and hardware bring-up procedures.
- Because our work involves space technology, you must meet ITAR requirements as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual.
What we offer
We believe in hiring exceptional people and rewarding them accordingly. Our compensation strategy is designed to be highly flexible, offering a competitive balance between salary and equity. Our interview process is straightforward, consisting of three Zoom meetings that typically conclude within two to four weeks.
Joining Array Labs means contributing to technology that provides image quality 60 times greater than traditional methods. Our work has the potential to impact diverse fields ranging from climate science and disaster relief to autonomy and global telecommunications.
