We are looking for a Senior Communications Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. At Cohere, our mission is to scale intelligence to serve humanity by training and deploying frontier models for developers and enterprises. We are a fast-growing organization in the artificial intelligence space, and we are building a world-class communications team to match the expertise of our researchers and engineers. This is a hybrid role based in Canada, offering a unique opportunity to shape the narrative of a company at the forefront of AI innovation.

Responsibilities

Create and refine core messaging and positioning to ensure our story resonates with our target audiences.
Manage media relations by working proactively and reactively with reporters to secure high-quality coverage.
Lead executive training sessions to prepare our leadership team for media interviews and major conference presentations.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in Communications or Public Relations, with a strong preference for candidates whose background is focused on communications rather than general marketing.
A proven track record of managing media relationships and successfully executing profile-raising initiatives.
Exceptional writing abilities and a highly organized, process-driven approach to project management.
Experience with B2B product launches and managing the logistics of high-profile speaking engagements is highly desired.
A creative mindset and a strong desire to take on complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.
