At WGRZ-TV Channel 2, part of TEGNA, we create television and digital content that informs, engages, and helps local businesses connect with their audiences across 64 stations in 51 U.S. markets. We are looking for a Commercial Producer who can turn client goals into compelling video that performs on both traditional TV and streaming platforms.
What you'll be doing
- Write, shoot, and edit high-quality commercials for television and digital streaming platforms, handling every stage from concept through final delivery.
- Design and animate motion graphics, 2D animations, and other visual elements using the Adobe Creative Cloud, with advanced work in Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Collaborate with account executives and clients during pitches and production meetings to develop creative concepts, refine scripts, and deliver advertising that meets both strategic objectives and tight deadlines.
What you'll bring
You bring several years of hands-on experience producing advertising or commercial video in a media company, production house, or advertising agency. You are highly skilled with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, and you are comfortable operating professional cinema cameras such as the Sony FS and FX series, lighting setups, audio gear, gimbals, sliders, and jibs. Experience shooting and color-grading LOG footage, along with current FAA certification for drone operation, is a plus. You have strong copywriting abilities, a keen eye for graphic design and motion graphics, and the organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. A bachelor’s degree in media production, communications, graphic design, or film is preferred, and you must hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and be able to lift and operate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, along with the ability to accept direction while contributing your own creative ideas, are essential. Fluency in English is required.

The salary range for this position is $40,000-$50,000 USD.
