We are currently looking for a Combustion Devices Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will take complete ownership of our first-stage thrust chamber assembly, guiding the design, manufacturing, and testing processes for our full-flow staged combustion engine.
Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the engine thrust chamber assembly, including the main combustion chamber, nozzle extensions, manifolds, and all necessary interfaces.
- Lead the CAD design and product definition, focusing on optimizing regenerative cooling channels to ensure peak performance.
- Develop and execute comprehensive manufacturing and verification plans, managing hardware procurement and analyzing test data to ensure all specifications are met.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in the design, construction, and testing of rocket engines featuring regenerative cooling.
- Strong technical proficiency in mechanical design, including additive manufacturing, welding techniques, and complex assemblies.
- A solid foundation in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, compressible flow, and cryogenics, paired with a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Advanced skills in CAD software, specifically Siemens NX and Teamcenter, along with a deep understanding of GD&T and tolerance stackups.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced development environment.
