At Heartflow, we are dedicated to transforming the way coronary artery disease is diagnosed and managed. As a publicly traded leader in medical technology, our innovations have already supported over 500,000 patients across the globe. Our flagship non-invasive cardiac tests provide clinicians with detailed, 3D insights into blood flow and arterial health, helping to address the world’s leading cause of death. We are currently expanding our team and invite you to join us in our mission to revolutionize precision heart care.
About the Role
We are seeking a Collaborating Research Scientist for a full-time, on-site position. This unique role features a joint visiting researcher appointment within Professor Ben Glocker’s lab at Imperial College London. You will bridge the gap between academic exploration and industrial application, focusing on the development of state-of-the-art generative AI technologies specifically for Coronary Computed Tomography Angiography. This is an opportunity to contribute to high-impact publications while ensuring your technical breakthroughs are integrated into our clinical products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced generative architectures to synthesize high-fidelity, anatomically accurate CCTA imaging data.
- Drive academic excellence by publishing and presenting your findings at premier conferences like NeurIPS, CVPR, ICCV, and MICCAI.
- Translate research into practical solutions by providing reproducible code and technical documentation for our internal development teams.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in both research and technical execution.
- A PhD in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- At least two years of relevant experience in academia or industry, specifically working with generative AI in medical imaging or computer vision.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and PyTorch, with a focus on writing clean, scalable code.
- A proven track record of first-author publications in top-tier medical imaging or AI venues.
- Expertise in generative methods such as diffusion models, flow matching, VAEs, or GANs.
Location
This position is based in the United Kingdom, with active participation in the research ecosystem at Imperial College London in South Kensington.
Compensation and Benefits
Heartflow is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace that respects all individuals, and we do not discriminate based on any protected status. We provide a collaborative environment where your work directly impacts global patient outcomes.
