Imagine walking through the doors of a specialist facility in Buckingham where every component tells part of a larger story. Here, precision meets passion as the team crafts lighting systems that grace the world’s most celebrated prestige and super-cars. We are Europe’s leading automotive lighting manufacturer, and our recent investments in people, processes, and equipment have created space for someone who thrives on accuracy and craftsmanship to join us on a permanent PM shift.
The opportunity
As a CMM Operator you will play a vital role in our metrology function, ensuring that every plastic-moulded part and assembly meets the exacting standards our customers expect. Working closely with the Metrology Manager and the wider Quality team, you will translate complex measurement data into clear, actionable reports that keep production moving smoothly and safely. Your contribution directly supports the quality that defines vehicles seen on roads and racetracks around the globe.
A day in the life
- You begin your shift by calibrating CMM and 3D scanning equipment, then run scheduled measurement programmes on full assemblies or individual moulded components, checking that every programme completes without error.
- Throughout the day you review equipment performance, correct any programme faults on the spot, and deliver timely measurement reports to the relevant engineers or departments while returning measured parts to their owners.
- You maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace, liaise with Quality Assurance on any out-of-specification serial parts, and follow our health and safety policy in every task you perform.
Who you are
You bring previous experience working in a comparable metrology role within the automotive industry and have hands-on expertise running CMM and 3D scanning equipment. Familiarity with PC-DMIS software is helpful but not required, and any background with plastic-moulded parts strengthens your application. You communicate clearly in English, work methodically, and take pride in delivering accurate results that others can rely on.
Why you'll love it here
We offer a salary of £26,400 per annum for this full-time, on-site position in Buckingham, Buckinghamshire. You will be supported by an experienced management team and Quality Department, enjoy stable permanent employment, and contribute to products that shape the future of luxury automotive design.
