We are currently looking for a talented professional to join our global production engineering team, specifically someone based in Lithuania who can work during local day-shift hours.
What is this role?
We are seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a mid-level position designed for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to make a significant impact on our production operations. Please note that for this specific opening, we are only considering candidates currently located in Lithuania.
What will you do?
- You will maintain, monitor, and improve the performance and availability of our 24/7 production environment, which includes our networks, servers, and databases.
- You will take charge of incident management by identifying root causes for critical issues, drafting incident reports, and communicating effectively with the team.
- You will participate in an on-call rotation to provide hands-on support during service transitions, outages, or other emergencies.
What makes you a great fit?
To succeed in this role, you should have at least three years of experience in 24/7 production operations and a strong background in managing secure environments. We are looking for someone with the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong proficiency with AWS services like EC2, ECS, and S3.
- At least two years of experience with Linux server administration across various distributions.
- Intermediate skills in scripting, such as Bash or Python, and SQL.
- Experience with monitoring and analytics tools like Datadog, Sumologic, or AWS CloudWatch.
- Familiarity with technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Vagrant, and Ansible.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
