The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join our team in Germany. Reporting directly to our CISO, you will serve as a key player in scaling our information security practices. Your primary focus will be on automating security within our infrastructure processes and tackling complex technical challenges to ensure our systems remain resilient and reliable as we grow.

A day in the life

• You will identify, validate, and remediate security issues across our cloud infrastructure and product environments to ensure we meet industry standards.
• You will build and deploy production security tools designed to detect misconfigurations and weaknesses, while maintaining a low-touch infrastructure using Terraform and immutable images.
• You will partner closely with our SRE team to implement security controls and provide actionable architectural recommendations through a security-focused lens.

Who you are

You are a self-driven professional with a background in DevSecOps or cloud security engineering. You thrive in multicultural environments and possess the communication skills needed to teach others about automation, scalability, and security. Your technical toolkit includes:

• Deep expertise in automation and infrastructure tools such as Docker, ArgoCD, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and Hashicorp Vault.
• Extensive experience with AWS services, including networking, AWS CloudTrail, and various cloud security tools.
• A strong grasp of cryptography, secure network architectures, and common attack vectors.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, preferably Python or Bash, combined with a research-oriented mindset for threat modeling.
• Fluency in English, which is the primary language of our international team.
