The opportunity

In this role, you will report directly to our CISO and serve as a vital contributor to our information security strategy. You will be responsible for scaling our security posture to the next level, with a primary focus on automating security within our infrastructure processes. You will tackle complex challenges while ensuring our platform remains both resilient and easy to use, acting as a key partner to our SRE team as we implement robust security controls across our products.

A day in the life

• You will identify, remediate, and validate security issues across our cloud infrastructure and product applications to ensure we meet industry-standard policies.
• You will build, deploy, and manage production security tools designed to detect misconfigurations and weaknesses in our environment.
• You will partner with our SRE team to execute security control implementations and perform architectural reviews that provide actionable, timely recommendations.

Who you are

You are a self-driven professional with a background in DevSecOps or cloud security engineering. You thrive in multicultural, collaborative environments and possess the communication skills necessary to teach others about automation, scalability, and security. Your technical toolkit includes:

• In-depth knowledge of automation and infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Docker, ArgoCD, Ansible, GitHub Actions, and Hashicorp Vault.
• Hands-on experience with AWS security services like AWS CloudTrail, Config, GuardDuty, and WAF.
• A strong grasp of security principles, cryptography, and secure network architectures.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• A research-oriented mindset with a focus on threat modeling.

You are comfortable working in both English and German, and you are ready to bring your expertise to our hybrid team based in Germany.
