Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest is a leading provider of sexual and reproductive healthcare, operating 20 health centers across a three-county region in Southern California. We are looking for a Cloud Security Analyst I to join our team and help us protect our infrastructure while supporting our mission of providing care without judgment.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain essential security controls, such as firewalls, network segmentation, encryption, and access management.
- Optimize and tune our SIEM and other monitoring tools to improve visibility and incident detection.
- Monitor network and application activity to identify anomalous behavior or potential security threats.
- Increase automation for security alarms to streamline triage and incident response processes.
- Analyze the performance of security use cases and test the accuracy of triggered alerts.
- Collaborate with the HIPAA Security Officer and the Compliance and Privacy Office during incident response activities.
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to conduct security risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
- Promote the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems while supporting a culture where security concerns can be reported without fear of retaliation.
Must-haves
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in Cloud Security or a similar IT analyst role.
- Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Proven experience safeguarding cloud-hosted environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or other major cloud platforms.
- Practical knowledge of managing SIEM systems and their associated data inputs.
Nice-to-haves
- At least 1 year of experience working within IT infrastructure for a healthcare organization.
- 2 or more years of experience in hybrid or cloud environments, including AWS or GCP.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate or ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
