The role
We are seeking a Cloud Security Analyst I to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity. This is a mid-level position where you will work closely with the Manager of Information Security to plan and implement a robust Cloud Security Program. Your work will be essential in ensuring our infrastructure aligns with NIST and InfoSec guidelines, helping us maintain compliance while improving transparency across our digital environment.
Core responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain technical security controls, including IDS/IPS, next-generation firewalls, encryption, network segmentation, and access management.
- Manage and tune SIEM tools to monitor network and application events, ensuring that security alarms are processed with a high degree of automation.
- Collaborate with the HIPAA Security Officer and the Compliance and Privacy Office to lead incident response activities and conduct ongoing security risk analyses.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in Cloud Security or a similar IT analyst role.
- A current CompTIA Security+ Certification.
- Proven experience securing cloud-hosted environments, specifically using Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms.
- Strong technical knowledge of SIEM management and data source integration.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred qualifications include experience in healthcare IT infrastructure and certifications such as the Microsoft Azure Security Engineer Associate or the ISC2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).
