WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Cloud Reliability Engineer will be responsible for writing and integrating various open source and closed sources tools. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of systems engineering and automation, including configuration management, containerization, and scripting.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
Develop, configure, and deploy tools for cloud based systems and servicesContainerize new and legacy applicationsMaintain awareness of new and exciting technologiesProvide LOE/scoping for projectsSupport development and operations teamsEnhance, modify or debug developer code as neededEnsure comprehensive observability across all aspects of application and system performance through maintenance, enhancement, and detection effortsRequired to participate in an on-call rotation for timely response to system incidents and maintenance needsQUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
3+ years experience in a DevOps or SRE-related role2+ years experience with Linux administration in a professional setting2+ years experience with one or more large cloud providers (AWS, Google)1+ years experience with serverless architecture (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions)1+ years using Docker and or Kubernetes1+ years experience using Terraform - writing vanilla Terraform to instrumenting modulesAbility to create CI/CD pipelines GitHub ActionsDemonstrated proficiency in at least one of programming the following languages: Python, GoLang.LIFE AT VIANT
