Cloud Platform Engineer at Interactive Brokers

We are Interactive Brokers, a global leader in financial services with over forty years of experience in driving innovation through technology. We are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team in India to help maintain and scale the infrastructure that supports our electronic brokerage services for clients across the globe.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Manage and scale Kubernetes clusters to support our containerized applications.
• Optimize and troubleshoot our CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment workflows.
• Develop automation tools and platform enhancements using Python and HCL.
• Engineer robust security, networking, and IAM integrations within our AWS environment.
• Focus on platform reliability by managing observability, capacity planning, and system scaling.
• Support advanced initiatives, including AI/ML integrations and Data Lake architectures.
• Work closely with our security, operations, and development teams to address complex technical challenges.

Must-haves

• At least 5 years of professional experience in cloud platform engineering with a strong focus on AWS.
• Expertise in Terraform, including current certification in authoring and operations.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for automation and tooling.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes administration, backed by a CKA certification.
• Proven experience building and managing Docker containers.
• Relevant AWS certifications, such as Cloud Engineer, DevOps Data Engineer, or Solution Architect.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to collaborative problem solving.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Practical experience implementing Data Lake solutions within AWS.
• Background in building AI/ML platforms, specifically using AWS Bedrock.
• Previous involvement in large-scale enterprise cloud migrations.
• Experience with Security Engineering within cloud environments.
• Active participation in technical communities or open-source projects.
