Are you ready to help shape the future of financial freedom for millions of working Americans? At Branch, we build tools that speed up payments and deliver accessible financial services, and we are looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to strengthen the systems behind that mission.

What you bring

We need a senior engineer who will join our Cloud Ops team on a full-time remote basis across the United States. You will work with GCP, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Git, Bash, and Java to keep our infrastructure scalable, secure, and resilient. Three main responsibilities stand out: implementing and maintaining cloud infrastructure under senior guidance, building automation that reduces manual work and speeds recovery from incidents, and participating in our 24/7 on-call rotation while supporting observability and compliance efforts. This role is located in the United States and is fully remote.

Requirements

You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or you bring equivalent professional experience. At least three years of hands-on cloud infrastructure work, preferably on GCP, is essential, along with solid experience in container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes. You are comfortable writing automation in Python, Bash, Java, or a similar language, and you understand monitoring, logging, and tracing practices. Familiarity with network and application security concepts, plus the ability to work in a 24/7 on-call schedule, round out the technical profile. Beyond the hard skills, we value clear communication, a collaborative mindset, and the curiosity to leverage AI tools like Claude, Copilot, and Gemini to move faster. English fluency is required.

What we offer

The base salary range for this position is $135000-$150000.
