Key outcomes

• Monitor cloud consumption and expenditures across major platforms including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Datadog.
• Assist in the creation of cost-focused dashboards and reports using Excel, Cloud Billing APIs, or Finout.
• Develop and implement automation integrations to streamline internal tooling.
• Manage resource tagging, cost allocation, and categorization initiatives.
• Conduct analysis on usage trends to uncover savings opportunities such as right-sizing and identifying idle resources.
• Contribute to organizational budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Establish and document best practices for cloud cost management.
• Work alongside finance, engineering, and procurement departments to advance our FinOps goals.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a degree program related to Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance.
• Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel or SQL.
• A keen interest in financial modeling, cloud infrastructure, and cost management.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as a self-starter.
• A curious, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is considered an asset.

Compensation

We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from $22.01 to $33.81 CAD. This pay is determined by standardized salary bands based on your academic progress and the number of official work terms completed. In addition to compensation, we provide a hybrid and remote work model designed to support your productivity and work-life balance.
