We are looking for a Cloud Engineering Lead to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity to help drive our next phase of growth.
Key outcomes
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for our infrastructure that prioritizes security, scalability, and flexibility to support our ongoing business growth and acquisitions.
- Design and implement self-service platforms and tools that empower our engineering teams while maintaining necessary guardrails.
- Manage, optimize, and secure our existing infrastructure to ensure high performance for all engineering projects.
- Oversee the deployment and management of CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab.
- Enhance our system observability by building advanced monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding solutions.
- Advance our infrastructure as code practices through the use of tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Provide leadership to our domestic and offshore cloud engineering teams, including hiring and professional development.
- Support critical data initiatives, including our transaction databases, data lakes, and MLOps workflows.
- Maintain a hands-on approach by leading from the front and establishing technical best practices.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- At least 8 years of consecutive experience in cloud engineering and software disciplines.
- Proven ability to define long-term technical strategy and mentor team members on DevOps best practices.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, peer departments, and executive leadership.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
- Deep technical proficiency in AWS services, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with security frameworks, SOC compliance, and infrastructure security protocols like encryption and secret management.
- Proficiency in system profiling, monitoring, and CI/CD operations.
- Experience working with RDBMS, Postgres RDS, and data-focused tools.
- Strong familiarity with observability platforms like Datadog.
- The ability to write clean, maintainable code and the flexibility to participate in periodic on-call rotations or off-hour maintenance.
- Fluency in English.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is 160,000 USD to 180,000 USD, depending on your experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
