About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will manage Linux and Unix systems within cloud environments while ensuring our infrastructure maintains optimal health. You will become an expert in the Datadog platform, implementing integrations and providing consulting on best practices. While we provide training and support for Datadog, we expect you to arrive with a strong foundation in deploying Linux systems and using configuration management tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality configurations using YAML and JSON.
• Collaborate with diverse team members and clients to successfully deliver technical projects.
• Design and build monitoring solutions for infrastructure, application performance, and logs, including the creation of custom grok patterns.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven background in systems administration with hands-on experience managing Linux or Unix systems in cloud or on-premise environments.
• The ability to manage multiple projects at once and a strong desire to learn new technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages like Python, shell, or PowerShell is highly valued.
• A willingness to work from our Boston office on a hybrid schedule, specifically Tuesday through Thursday.

Location

This position is based in the United States, with a required presence in our Boston office three days per week.
