We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Platform team in India. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our Data Management Platform, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex technical challenges in a production environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build secure, user-friendly processes for both development and production environments.
- Manage and maintain our AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
- Optimize performance for datastores such as Couchbase, ElasticSearch, and Kafka.
- Develop monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health of our production services.
- Improve our deployment pipelines utilizing Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes.
- Streamline our continuous integration environment and facilitate efficient code testing.
- Provide technical guidance to software development teams throughout the design phase.
- Act as a subject matter expert for DevOps practices within the organization.
- Participate in team planning and support daily operational tasks.
Must-haves
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS and proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python or BASH.
- Advanced experience with infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and deployment workflows.
- Strong understanding of databases and messaging systems like Couchbase and Kafka.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- A B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- A strong background in system security and a preference for automation over manual tasks.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A self-directed, hands-on approach with a bias toward execution and incremental delivery.

- Experience working with Lean engineering practices.
- A diverse technical background with the ability to dive deep into complex problems.
