About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join us in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will act as a technical bridge between IT operations and business strategy. You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust cloud strategies, helping us manage public cloud environments while ensuring our services remain agile, secure, and efficient. This is an evolutionary role where you will wear many hats, serving as an IT professional, a communicator, and a business liaison to deliver the best possible experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate diverse cloud services with traditional back-end data center systems to successfully implement hybrid IT environments.
- Execute the migration of legacy applications to the public cloud, utilizing both rehosting strategies and modernizing approaches to improve disaster recovery and agility.
- Partner with development teams to own the operations side of the lifecycle, ensuring that cloud-native workloads are deployed in strict accordance with best practices for security, monitoring, and identity management.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should bring a deep technical background and a collaborative spirit. We require the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in English, as it is our primary working language.
- Extensive experience working with Kubernetes in both development and production environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of major cloud platforms, specifically AWS and Azure, with a proven track record of real-world implementation.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and container-based runtimes.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience working within diverse, distributed teams across multiple regions.
- A strong sense of cyber security awareness, including knowledge of identity management and encryption principles.
- Programming skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Location
This position is based in Italy, with office locations in Milan, Roma, Collecchio, and Castellazzo Bormida.
