Role at a glance
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Data Architect to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the United States, requiring you to be in the office two days per week. You will be instrumental in designing and maintaining the data platforms that power our risk intelligence products, blending high-level architecture with hands-on administration.
Your impact
- Lead the evolution of our data ecosystem by implementing a medallion architecture to ensure scalable, high-quality data movement.
- Drive our transition toward a modern hybrid architecture utilizing AWS S3, Apache Iceberg, and Trino, while simultaneously optimizing our current Snowflake environment.
- Develop and manage our data infrastructure as code using Terraform and automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and resource management.
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of professional experience in data architecture, warehousing, or administration.
- 3+ years of hands-on expertise with Snowflake, specifically regarding performance tuning and cost management.
- Strong proficiency with Python or Java for automation and pipeline development.
- Deep knowledge of AWS data services, including S3, Glue, and IAM.
- Experience working with query engines like Trino or Presto and metadata catalogs such as Polaris.
- A solid grasp of data modeling, schema design, and ELT/ETL best practices.
- Fluency in English and the ability to collaborate effectively across DevOps and analytics teams.
