We are currently looking for a skilled professional to join our team in Switzerland as we build our cloud infrastructure from the ground up. Our focus is on establishing a robust foundation, and we need someone who can help us shape our Azure environment while keeping future multi-cloud goals in mind. What is this role?
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Consultant to join us on a contractor basis. This is an on-site position based in Zurich, starting in mid-August 2025 for a duration of 30 project days. You will play a key role in setting up our cloud architecture, ensuring that our governance, security, and infrastructure standards are built to last.
What will you do?
- Design and implement Azure Landing Zones, including hub-spoke or disconnected architectures, while configuring the necessary network components like VPNs, subnets, routing, and firewalls.
- Establish comprehensive cloud governance by developing policies for cost control, naming conventions, and identity management, utilizing tools such as Azure Policy and Management Groups.
- Provide strategic guidance and initial concepts for our future expansion into multi-cloud environments, specifically looking at Google Cloud and AWS.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience in building and managing Azure infrastructures. We value candidates who bring a structured, independent approach to their work and possess strong communication skills. You must be fluent in German, as this is essential for our daily collaboration.
Your technical toolkit should include:
- Deep expertise in Governance, Security, and Landing Zone design.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Solid knowledge of network architecture, including firewalls and VPN connectivity.
- Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure AD, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
- Bonus points if you have prior experience with GCP or AWS.
