Cloud Business Consultant at Rackspace

We are looking for a dedicated Cloud Business Consultant to join our Cloud Optimizer team. At Rackspace Technology, we serve as multicloud solutions experts, helping our clients navigate the complexities of cloud management. We assist customers in orchestrating their resources effectively, turning the rapid pace of technological change into a strategic advantage. Our goal is to help our clients mature into sophisticated consumers of cloud services by transforming large sets of usage data into actionable business intelligence.

Key outcomes

• Manage a portfolio of 10 to 15 enterprise cloud customers to ensure their ongoing success.
• Conduct in-depth data analyses and present findings to high-level stakeholders, supported by clear documentation and professional reports.
• Collaborate with our professional and managed services teams to deliver cloud management projects and establish industry best practices.
• Perform financial analysis of client cloud expenditures, identifying trends and proposing specific optimization projects.
• Provide expert guidance on AWS platform utilization and facilitate the onboarding process for new customers.
• Assist our sales department with new business development and contribute to internal initiatives such as profitability analysis and tool assessments.

Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting technology products or services, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineers and developers.
• Proven experience in customer relationship management, specifically in handling key stakeholder interactions.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate complex information into meaningful insights.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables and charts for ad-hoc reporting.
• Fluency in English and the ability to lead meetings with C-level executives.
• The ability to work on-site in Mexico.

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with advanced data analysis tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, PowerBI, or SQL.
• Prior experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience using cloud management platforms such as CloudHealth, CloudCheckr, or CloudAbility.
• Demonstrated success in cross-selling and up-selling services.
