We are looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in the United States. At FirstKey Homes, we focus on providing quality rental housing, and we rely on a robust digital infrastructure to support our operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, curation, and management of our Microsoft Azure environment. You will work closely with our development, data, and security teams to build scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions that drive our business forward, while also helping us explore new frontiers in Azure AI and machine learning.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements and developer needs into practical, well-engineered cloud designs that prioritize performance and security.
- Implement and improve Azure infrastructure by applying best practices for connectivity, security, and identity management, including the use of private endpoints, application gateways, and log analytics.
- Maintain our cloud environment through proactive cost management, resource tagging, and the development of technical documentation, runbooks, and automation strategies.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on, enterprise-level experience working with a wide range of Microsoft Azure resource types.
- Strong technical expertise in networking, including VLANs, DHCP, and TCP/IP, alongside a deep understanding of application development and SQL database permissions.
- Proven ability to manage projects, solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Relevant industry certifications are highly valued, such as Microsoft Azure AZ-305, AZ-304, AZ-303, AZ-400, AZ-104, DP-300, or AZ-500.
- A proactive mindset focused on identifying root causes and implementing long-term technical solutions.
