Clinical Informatics Specialist at Turning Stone Resort Casino

We are looking for a Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist to join our team in the United States on a full-time, on-site basis. In this role, you will be the backbone of our Health Services department, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the clinical, administrative, and dental information systems that support our mission to provide high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of all information systems used across our Health Services department.
• Provide hands-on technical support to our staff and maintain a detailed log of all reported issues.
• Protect sensitive information by managing system security, monitoring access, and assigning user privileges to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Serve as the HIPAA Security Officer, which includes training staff on security protocols and investigating any potential incidents.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of our databases, including RPMS applications.
• Develop and distribute user manuals while providing comprehensive training to ensure all staff can use our software applications effectively.
• Generate custom reports and manage the timely transmission of data exports.
• Collaborate on the implementation of new software and contribute to the development of departmental policies regarding information systems.
• Maintain strict compliance with Oneida Indian Nation security policies and federal regulations regarding patient and employee data.

Must-haves

• Extensive experience in managing complex clinical and administrative information systems.
• Strong technical support capabilities and a proactive approach to system maintenance.
• Proven expertise in system security, including password management and access control.
• Demonstrated ability to create clear user documentation and conduct effective staff training.
• Proficiency in data reporting and database integrity management.
• Fluency in English.
