Picture a small but fast-moving team that believes happier veterinary teams lead to healthier pets. At Roo we built the first B2B labor marketplace for animal healthcare, linking hospitals that need staff with skilled veterinarians and technicians who want flexible shifts. Since our launch in 2019 we have grown quickly, already unlocking new economic opportunities for thousands of professionals while helping clinics deliver reliable, high-quality care to pets across the country.
The opportunity
We are adding a part-time Client Support Specialist who will serve as the friendly, reliable voice our users turn to when they need help on the platform. Working remotely on weekends and during peak weekday hours, you will keep conversations moving smoothly, solve problems on the spot, and make sure every hospital, veterinarian, and technician feels supported. Your work directly shapes how thousands of users experience Roo each week and helps us maintain the trust that keeps our marketplace thriving.
A day in the life
- You start your shift by checking the queue of emails, LiveChat messages, and calls that arrive through our support channels, answering each inquiry with clear, helpful guidance.
- When a user runs into a first-line issue, you troubleshoot quickly, document the details in HubSpot, and, if the matter needs extra attention, loop in the right business-development or account-management teammate.
- Throughout the day you keep an eye on shift changes, payment questions, and other “rainy-day” situations, coordinating with Finance or Data teams and noting any patterns that could help us improve.
Who you are
You bring at least two years of online customer-support experience, ideally in a fast-paced, early-stage environment, and you are comfortable juggling multiple channels while staying organized and accurate. You write and speak English clearly, know your way around tools like HubSpot, and pride yourself on proactive communication that keeps both internal teammates and external users informed. While prior work in animal healthcare is a plus, what matters most is your calm approach to troubleshooting, your attention to detail, and your genuine desire to make every interaction better than the last.
Why you'll love it here
You will join a mission-driven company that is reshaping how veterinary professionals find work and how clinics stay staffed. We offer a 401k, a home-office budget, and a learning budget so you can keep growing your skills from wherever you work. Because the role is fully remote within the listed states, you can build a schedule that respects your weekends and personal life while still being part of a passionate, diverse team that believes better support leads to better care for pets everywhere.
