Are you looking for a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of students while fostering a safe and supportive learning environment? The Menta Education Group is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Classroom Security Instructional Assistant. We operate the S.E.L.F. A program at Tempe McClintock, a unique public-private partnership that focuses on building student independence and providing comprehensive support for children from preschool through grade 12. If you are passionate about education and student development, we invite you to help us create a space where every child can thrive.
What you bring
In this full-time, on-site role based in the United States, you will serve as a vital member of our classroom staff. You will work closely with instructors to provide academic and behavioral support, ensuring that our school remains a secure and productive environment for all students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct academic assistance to students within the classroom setting.
- Managing classroom behavior by proactively redirecting and de-escalating conflicts.
- Maintaining school safety by identifying potential disruptions and implementing behavioral program policies.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who can think independently and act tactfully under pressure. While we welcome applicants from various backgrounds, experience in behavioral science, mental health, security, or juvenile justice is highly valued. A background in fields such as kinesiology, physical education, or coaching is also considered beneficial, and we strongly encourage military veterans to apply. You must be at least 23 years of age and comfortable working with high-risk students who have special needs. Additionally, we prefer candidates who possess a clean driving record and are willing to operate a student van. Proficiency in English is required to ensure effective communication with our students and staff.
What we offer
We are committed to supporting our employees through a comprehensive benefits package designed to provide both security and flexibility. Our team members enjoy the following perks:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance options, with immediate enrollment available for full-time staff.
- Supplemental insurance programs and 403(b) investment opportunities.
- Generous paid time off benefits.
- A stable school-based schedule that follows the academic calendar, meaning no night or weekend shifts.
