We are looking for a Senior Claims Intake Representative to join our team at New York Life, a company recognized as one of Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies. Responsibilities
- Manage 35 to 45 incoming calls daily to initiate claims for short-term and long-term disability, workplace accommodations, and family medical leave.
- Accurately input sensitive claim data into our systems to maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions.
- Build strong customer relationships by utilizing active listening and technical resources to provide timely, high-quality support.
- Multitask effectively by gathering and entering information simultaneously during live calls.
- Meet team performance metrics, including quality monitoring, security verification, schedule adherence, and production standards.
- Ensure all urgent and standard inquiries are resolved within established service level agreements.
Must-haves
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in a call center or customer-facing role.
- Proficiency with PC operations and Microsoft systems, plus a strong technical aptitude for learning new software.
- Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking to solve problems and identify process improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- The ability to work in a fully remote environment within the United States.
Nice-to-haves
- A college degree.
- Prior knowledge of disability claims, workers’ compensation, or family medical leave processing.
- Bilingual language skills.
