CI/Testing Infrastructure Developer at Collabora

We are looking for a Senior CI/Testing Infrastructure Developer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. At Collabora, we act as a bridge between the corporate world and the Open Source community. We leverage our deep technical expertise in areas like system architecture, graphics, and multimedia to help businesses, governments, and non-profits navigate the complexities of Open Source software. Our work spans diverse industries, including automotive, smart TV, and specialized embedded applications, and we are excited to find someone who shares our passion for building robust automated testing systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the automated testing requirements for specific projects and create detailed implementation plans to share with our clients and the broader Open Source community.
• Keep a close eye on our existing upstream Continuous Integration systems to identify and execute opportunities for optimization and improvement.
• Build out CI systems by managing dependencies, automating code builds, deploying software to devices, running tests, and ensuring results are clearly reported.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in Continuous Integration and a desire to contribute to the Open Source ecosystem. We look for the following qualifications:

• Solid experience with Gitlab CI/CD or GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in Python, including work with frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• A deep understanding of Open Source development methodologies and active participation in relevant communities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• The ability to thrive and collaborate effectively in a fully distributed, online environment.
• Bonus points if you have experience with Kubernetes, embedded development, or the upstream Linux kernel workflow.
