Role at a glance

We are seeking a Chief Technology Officer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a senior-level, founding-style position for a hands-on leader who is comfortable working from anywhere in the world. We need someone who is as passionate about writing code and reviewing architecture as they are about setting the strategic direction for our platform.

Your impact

• Define and execute the long-term technical architecture for our platform, focusing on high-performance Rust-based systems and scalable infrastructure.
• Partner with leadership to drive product strategy while maintaining a culture of technical excellence, high-quality execution, and rapid shipping.
• Design and implement complex systems including real-time social feeds, messaging, video delivery, AI integration, and financial infrastructure for payments and rewards.

What you'll need

You should be a systems-oriented engineer who values pragmatic decision-making over unnecessary complexity. We are looking for someone with deep experience in backend architecture, distributed services, and consumer product scaling. You must be fluent in English and comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced startup environment. While you do not need to be an expert in every single technology we use, you should have a strong grasp of:

• Rust backend development and asynchronous architecture.
• Event-driven systems and real-time data processing.
• Integrating AI-driven features like recommendation engines and automated translation.
• Building secure and reliable financial or wallet infrastructure.
• Leading engineering teams through hands-on collaboration and mentorship.
